Environmental Markets Association Announces Leadership Transition: After Nearly Two Decades of Leadership Lauren LeMunyan Passes the Torch to Taylar Ramsey-Thompson
Washington, D.C. – [April 2, 2025] – The Environmental Markets Association (EMA) announces the departure of long-time Executive Director Lauren LeMunyan and the appointment of Taylar Ramsey-Thompson as the organization’s new Director.
Lauren LeMunyan has been a dedicated force within EMA for nearly 20 years, leading with vision, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to the advancement of environmental markets. Over the course of her tenure, she has helped shape the association into a respected voice in promoting market-based solutions to environmental challenges. Her leadership has been instrumental in expanding event offerings, growing membership, and fostering collaborative partnerships.
“It has been an honor to serve EMA and work alongside such a passionate and forward-thinking community,” said Lauren. “After nearly two decades, I am incredibly proud of what we’ve built together and confident in EMA’s future under new leadership.”
The EMA Board of Directors has appointed Taylar Ramsey-Thompson as the incoming Director, effective April 1st. Taylar brings a strong background in event and association management.
“Taylar’s experience and fresh perspective will be invaluable as EMA continues to evolve and respond to the dynamic environmental and regulatory landscape,” said Jack Velasquez, Chairman of the EMA Board. “We thank Lauren for her extraordinary service and welcome Taylar as she takes the reins during this exciting next chapter.”
